Die 5. AESOP Konferenz zur nachhaltigen Ernährungsplanung findet vom 28.-29. Oktober 2013 in Montpellier in Südfrankreich statt (AESOP = Association of European Schools of Planning). Die Konferenz setzt ihren Schwerpunkt auf Innovationen in urbanen Ernährungssystemen. Paralelle Konferenztracks beschäftigen sich mit „Flows: Reframing Urban Foodshed“, „Land: Farming for the City“ und „Governance: Towards Food Justice?“. Im Plenum werden Robert Gottlieb (Los Angeles), Marielle Dubbelling von RUAF, Paule Moustier (Montpellier) und Nik Heynen (Georgia) vortragen.
This 5th conference will focus on innovations and drivers for change: how can the actors of various value chains supply more sustainable food to cities? Considering that rural-urban dynamics are rapidly evolving, what roles can linkages with rural areas play in food and nutrition security for urban citizens? What processes and actors are best placed to promote the integration of food issues in urban policies? What is the role of consumers? To what extent are the global issues of climate change and biodiversity taken into account in urban food planning? And last but not least, what role does cultural diversity play in new urban food strategies?
Vorschläge für Vorträge in den einzelnen Tracks können bis zum 15. Juni eingereicht werden. Die Konferenzgebühr liegt (bis 15.09.) bei 250 €, ermäßigt bei 100 €.
